Information for Event Ushers

Join the dynamic and rewarding team of Volunteer Staff at ZACH! Volunteers are essential to ZACH’s success and serve as ushers, ticket scanners, Gift Shop clerks, greeters, lobby information and reception, administrative help, special projects and ambassadors of goodwill to our community. Come and learn how you can be a part of Austin’s Theatre and give back to the community, make new friends, and have the opportunity to attend outstanding professional including the beautiful Topfer Theatre.

All Volunteers are required to take one 4-hour training course prior to volunteering. In addition to training, we ask that each volunteer work a minimum of 6 events per season (September-August). Young people ages 13-17 are welcome to volunteer with a parent or guardian and 18-up can volunteer independently. The usual dress code for shows is professional looking all-black (please no denim or athletic shoes). Scheduling of events is quick and easy via our online database and we have plenty of opportunities to accommodate any schedule. Free parking is provided for all volunteers.

Please take a moment to fill out the form below. Thanks again for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you!

If you have any questions about volunteering, please email Patron Services Manager Kyle Sigrest at ksigrest@zachtheatre.org.
