The Topfer Theatre at a Glance

Overview: ZACH Theatre is building a comprehensive campus for performances that includes three intimate venues, educational classrooms, rehearsal studios, roduction facilities and administrative offices to provide Central Texans and visitors with nationally recognized theatre experiences. New elements of the campus include the Topfer Theatre, an open-air event plaza, a rain garden and additional surface parking.
Location: 202 South Lamar Blvd. where Riverside Drive ends, just south of Lady Bird Lake
Theatre Size: 26,196 square feet
Theatre Features: Fly tower, trapped stage, adjustable acoustics, fully equipped backstage with larger dressing rooms and green room, state-of-the-art light, sound and video equipment
Stage: The Karen Kuykendall Stage is 3,280 square feet (3.5 times larger than the Kleberg Stage)

Architectural Details: Expansive glass panels flanking the entrance inspired by stage curtains; a two-story lobby; expanded  concessions, box office and restrooms; Juliet balcony overlooking the open-air plaza; private Sky Lounge and balcony for donors with spectacular views of downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake
Plaza: 8,600 square feet; combined with lobby, has capacity for 430 seated guests  
Green Features: Rain garden, LED lighting in patron areas, 34 additional native trees
ZPACC: ZACH Production and Creativity Center (ZPACC) currently houses rehearsal and private event space, prop shop and production staff offices; it will expand to include a costume shop, administrative offices and an additional rehearsal studio
Parking: New valet and passenger drop off; 20 additional surface on-site parking spaces
