–Jessica M, Paredez Middle School

"Thank you for bringing Shakespeare: The Remix. I like how you show that we all have a part in this world. It was a surpise how two different people from two different worlds had so many things in common."

The Sun & the Moon

Touring schools September 22-December 19
Suitable for K-5th grade.

charachters in the Sun and the Moon

The Chinese legend of the Sun and the Moon tells the story of Chang’e, and Houyi, star-crossed lovers who may only see each other once a year...on The Moon Festival, when the moon is biggest and brightest. Written by Austin’s talented Shaun Wainwright-Branigan, (ZACH’s Holiday Heroes), the story is a clever adaptation of several versions of the Chinese folktale with a modern twist. Yi, a curious young boy, discovers the importance of traditions and family history while he hears the story of the Sun and the Moon as told by his father.

The Giving Play

Touring schools January 12-March 13 and April 13-May 29
Suitable for K-5th grade.

The Giving Play celebrates the arts and artists in Austin. This original production identifies the value of art music and drama in our community, and explores "talent" in its many forms. Students discover that philanthropy can include the giving of time and talent, and are encouraged to tap into their creativity and inner artist.
