The Remix is a hip
and dynamic way to introduce Shakespeare to youth.

"Thank you ZACH Theatre for performing Shakespeare: The Remix for our school. I really liked the rapping. I was having a bad day, but when I saw the play, my day went a whole lot better!"
–Jessica M, Paredez Middle School

"Thank you for bringing Shakespeare: The Remix. I like how you show that we all have a part in this world. It was a surpise how two different people from two different worlds had so many things in common."

Her grandfather and friend, Jerome, cheer her up as they remind her how creativity and generosity help you see things in a different way. And when Sasha's teacher takes the class on a surprise field trip, the students discover something special about junk! charachters in the Sun and the Moon

The Chinese legend of the Son and the Moon tells the story of Chang’e, and Houyi, star-crossed lovers who may only see each other once a year...on The Moon Festival, when the moon is biggest and brightest. Written by Austin’s talented Shaun Wainwright-Branigan, (ZACH’s Holiday Heroes), the story is a clever adaptation of several versions of the Chinese folktale with a modern twist. Yi, a curious young boy, discovers the importance of traditions and family history while he hears the story of the Son and the Moon as told by his father.
