    Martin Burke stars as The Man in the Chair, the ultimate Broadway musical fan whose spirits are lifted when his favorite musical “The Drowsy Chaperone” springs to life from his imagination in his jungle red Manhattan apartment.

    With the audience seated intimately around a circular swimming pool, Ovid's beautiful myths about miraculous transformations are brought to exuberant and inventive life in the water by ZACH's ensemble of Austin actors in a visually stunning production. The transformational power of love, the inevitability of change, and the human ability to adapt are all explored in this humorous, moving and heart-felt adaptation of our shared cultural myths.

  • June 3, 2010 - July 11, 2010

    Lauren Lane stars in this life-affirming comedy about an eccentric millionaire who offers Becky the keys to a brand new life. This romantic farce by acclaimed Austin playwright Steven Dietz (playwright of last season's hit Shooting Star) offers a fantastically funny exploration about class, wealth and selling out during Becky's wild ride through a clever twist of events. Huge laughs, hairpin plot turns and a story with the pedal to the metal. Buckle up!

    ZACH Theatre transforms Thornton Wilder’s timeless drama with a signature reinvention celebrating all that is wonderful and unique about Our Town. With Jaston Williams as your guide, daily life unfolds as romance blossoms under a full moon and a butternut tree on ZACH’s Kleberg Stage. Then the play moves next door to ZACH’s Nowlin Studio where you are escorted as wedding guests of Emily and George to their gorgeous Tiffany blue, star-filled nuptials. And yes, there’s wedding cake for everyone! return to the Kleberg for a breathtaking transformation so heartfelt you’ll never forget it: This is the event of the season everyone will be talking about in our town.

    The Flaming Idiots: still up to their days of jugglin', jokin', throwin', swallowin', leapin' and conquerin' Broadway -- but even better. The Flaming Idiots are on ZACH's stage for the sort of theatre circus hilarity that brought them to international acclaim and got them kicked out of Williamson County. Be utterly amazed with an act far more outrageous than you ever thought theatre could be.
