Capital Campaign

The Campaign for a New Theatre is the largest undertaking in ZACH’s 75-year history. In recent decades, ZACH has grown at a pace that reflects the rapid growth of the city around it. Throughout this period, ZACH has grown in every way expect for the expansion of its current facilities. To this end, ZACH has launched a major capital campaign to build a signature 500-seat theatre on its existing campus. As part of its Campaign for a New Theatre, ZACH is honoring the divine diva Karen Kuykendall, by naming its new stage the Karen Kuykendall Stage. We want to thank Austin voters for approving $10 million of funding in the 2006 City Bond election, as well as the many visionary donors who have generously supported both ZACH’s dream of a new home in the heart of Austin and ZACH’s wish to honor one of Austin’s most beloved artists.
